Daniel Nolasco (ONLY GOOD THINGS, WOWFF 2025) returns to Catalão, the small Brazilian town where he grew up closeted, to revisit the people, places, and memories that shaped him before he escaped to the freedom of Rio de Janeiro. What begins as a playful and unconventional journey through his past gradually becomes something far more poignant.
Told through a series of cleverly constructed vignettes and reimagined memories, LITTLE TRAGEDIES blends autobiography, fiction, and wry humor with a deeply personal meditation on change, loss, and the complicated bonds we maintain with the places we call home. Nolasco doesn't simply remember the past. He reconstructs it, casting actors, commenting on his choices, and occasionally letting the artifice become part of the story itself.
This visually striking film explores queer coming-of-age, small-town isolation, friendship,
and the people who remain with us long after everything else has changed.
